I. Roll Call

II. Competition Schedule:

February 13-14, Challenge & Elite Group
April 10-11, J.O. Individual & Group
April 24-26, Level 9 Championships
May 15, Western Open - L10 Elite Group
May 22, Eastern Open - L10
June 10-13, Four Continents
June 24-26, National Championships - L10/Elite

III. Elite Program

1. 1999 Rhythmic National Championships

A maximum of 25 juniors & 25 seniors will compete. This will include:
a. Exempt National Team Members
b. Petitioned Athletes (petitions must be submitted to USA Gymnastics by May 15, 1999)

c. The remaining slots to be filled in rank order from the master list of East/West Open Qualifiers.

2. 1999 Rhythmic National Championships Qualifiers earn Level 10 status.

3. 1999 Rhythmic National Championships Event Finalists earn Elite Status.

4. Level 10 Juniors turning Seniors in 1999 must requalify through the Level 9 Championships process.

IV. JOPC Recommendations - approved:

1. Reinstate Level 9 Championship with Zone Meet qualification process.

2. Level 10 East/West National Qualifying Meets to include:

a. All Level 10 Juniors and Seniors from 1998 Nationals.
b. Top 15 Juniors and top 15 Seniors from 1999 Level 9 Championships.
c. Approved petitioned athletes.

Failed: 1. Reconsider 1999 National Championships qualifying score.
2. Reconsider 1998 Level 10 status score.

Meeting adjourned at 11:10 p.m.
