Kris Parker, Public Relations CoordinatorNatalie Lacuesta, who finished second all-around at the 1996 Rhythmic National Championships in Athens, Ga., May 31-June 2, has scratched from the preliminary round of competition at Olympic Trials in Boston, Mass., due to a stress fracture in her left fibula.
According to the Rhythmic Selection Procedures, Lacuesta's day two score of Rhythmic National Championships will be multiplied by two and will be used as her final Olympic Trials score.
If Lacuesta's all-around score places her in a position for Olympic Team membership, verification of health status will be required from a USOC approved physician before she is officially named to the team.
