Vanessa Atler Leads the Junior Competition after Preliminary Competition at the Coca-Cola National Championships

Vanessa Atler from Canyon Country, Calif., is leading the junior all-around competition after the preliminary round of competition at the 1996 Coca-Cola National Gymnastics Championships in Knoxville, Tenn. Atler is followed by Alexis Brion from Virginia Beach, Va. and Kelly Parkinson from Houston, Texas.

The finals competition for the junior women will take place Friday, June 7, from 2:30-4:00 p.m. The top 16 juniors using combined scores from preliminary and optional rounds of competition will make up the Junior National Team.
