Assist with unloading, set-up, carpeting, takedown and loading of the gymnastics podium and equipment. It is suggested that each crew member bring work gloves and wear comfortable, unrestricted clothing. A select group of volunteers with gymnastics equipment experience will be used to assist with equipment change over’s (Men’s equipment to Women’s equipment and vice versa) during training and competition sessions. Please note that set-up usually takes 6 to 8 hours depending on the number of volunteers. Tear down usually takes between 3 to 4 hours.

Assist with media operations in the media workroom, media quote takers and web assistants. All of these positions require some gymnastics knowledge and some media experience.

Assist with a variety of tasks in coordination with event operations. The following positions require varying degrees of gymnastics experience: floor managers, scoring assistants, staging assistants, announcer assistant, music assistant, radio program assistant, NBC TV assistants, scoring distribution runners and marketing assistants.

Assist with participant registration, accreditation and hospitality. These volunteers also include the airport welcome team and any interpreters that may be needed. Delegation Services volunteers will be in direct contact with participants, so friendly, polite, fun personalities are needed for these positions. Gymnastics experience is not required.
