Chow, the owner and head coach of Chow’s Gymnastics & Dance Institute, has been an elite coach for 18 years and currently coaches 2007 all-around world champion and 2008 U.S. Olympian Shawn Johnson. He was a member of the Chinese Men’s National Team in gymnastics and won more than 30 international gold medals, in addition to numerous national championships. He is a former Chinese World Team co-caption and won a team bronze medal at the 1989 World Championships. Chow earned his U.S. citizenship in 2002. Chow’s favorite thing about gymnastics is the challenges it gives him.
