Liukin selected to appear on Wheaties box
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn., Aug. 28, 2008 – 2008 Olympic all-around champion Nastia Liukin will be featured on a special edition box of Wheaties, which will become available in September. Aug. 20 - Nastia Liukin tied the American record with five medals in one Olympic Games. Liukin won one gold (all-around), three silvers (team, uneven bars, beam) and one bronze (floor exercise) to match Mary Lou Retton and Shannon Miller in the record books. USA wins one gold, two silver on final day of gymnastics at 2008 Olympic Games
BEIJING, Aug. 19, 2008 - Shawn Johnson of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Nastia Liukin of Parker, Texas, won the gold and silver medals, respectively, on the balance beam, and Jonathan Horton of Houston claimed the silver medal on horizontal bar during the final day of gymnastics at the National Indoor Stadium at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. The USA finished the Olympic Games with 10 gymnastics medals - two gold, six silver and two bronze - the most in a non-boycotted Olympic Games. | MORE |

Make-A-Wish Foundation wish kids meet members of the men's gymnastics team
The Make-A-Wish Foundation granted Olympic-themed wishes for six children who got to meet members of the USA bronze medal gymnastics team during their trip to Beijing.
