Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2008 Acrobatic Gymnastics National Championships in Des Moines, IA. This is an opportunity to play a vital role in the success of this national event.

Because of the limited number of volunteer positions, completion of this application does not guarantee you a volunteer position. If you are selected for a position, you will be notified to confirm your assignment and availability. Additional details will be communicated as they are finalized. Once all of the volunteer positions have been filled, we will post that information on this site.

How do I volunteer - If you wish to volunteer you may do so online. First, review the Volunteer Job Descriptions and Availability. Secondly, complete the Volunteer Application online.

Deadline - The deadline for volunteer applications is Friday, June 27.

Age - Young people may also volunteer their time, but must be a minimum of 14 years of age. We have a special job, described in the athlete escort job description, for those young people wanting to participate.

Check-In - Once at the event, each confirmed volunteer must check in at the accreditation at the competition venue. At this time, you will be given your picture volunteer credential and your event polo shirt. You may be required to attend a schedule training session for your position. You will be notified of this at check-in. Please remember to arrive one half hour earlier than your scheduled work time to allow for last minute adjustments and possible session time changes.

Complimentary All-Session Ticket - As a thank you to those volunteers who go up and beyond the call of duty and volunteer 8 or more hours, one complimentary all-session admission ticket will be provided for the duration of the event.

Volunteer Uniform - The volunteer uniform includes the volunteer shirt you are given at registration, khaki colored long pants (no shorts, skirts, or capri pants), and athletic or other comfortable shoes (no sandals).

Confirmation - You will receive a confirmation of your volunteer application and work schedule between July 1 and July 15 via email. If you do not receive a schedule by this date, you can contact Kathy Lee, National Volunteer Coordinator.
