Kick-Off Event/Opening Ceremony – August 15 – 12:00 p.m.
Come celebrate the official opening of the 2007 Visa Championships with Mayor Reed, Steve Penny (President of USA Gymnastics), Olympic Champion Peter Vidmar, and others at HP Pavilion on Wed., August 15.
At this time, Autumn St. will be renamed in honor of the Visa Championships while local gym clubs perform tumbling routines and will welcome everyone to day one of competition.
At the conclusion of the program doors will officially open for the first event – Jr. Men and Individual Events.
Visa Championships Fitness Plaza – August 16-17
Circle of Palms will host this year's Visa Championships Fitness Plaza each morning and afternoon on both Thursday, August 16 and Friday, August 17. Get your day off to a good start by getting there early for morning fitness activities starting at 6:30 a.m. Another session will take place at 12:00 p.m. on both days, for those of you who might not be early risers.
Come see the future of Gymnastics show off their skills during the lunch hour. Mid-day sessions will consist of local Gym Club demonstrations from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Since the Circle of Palms is less than a mile from the HP Pavilion, it's an easy walk back to the venue to watch the evening events.
Visa Fan Fest
The Visa Fan Fest will take place on Autumn St., right outside of HP Pavilion on both Friday and Saturday. Come on out to enjoy:
