* TV Schedule
The Worlds will be on ABC: April 20th from 4:30-6:00pm EST (taped from the April 19th competition) and April 27th from 4:30-6:00pm EST (taped from the April 20th competition).
* USA Team
The women's team was selected from the 1996 American Classic competition in Tulsa, Okla., February 9-11. The men were selected from the 1996 Winter Cup Challenge competition February 2-3 in Colorado Springs.
* Qualifying
The qualifying rounds are open to all affiliated federations. Each federation is allowed a maximum of four female and six male gymnasts. During the qualifying rounds of competition, a maximum of two female and two male gymnasts per federation and per apparatus may compete. The gymnasts may compete in the competition on an unlimited number of apparatus. The 16 best men and women on each apparatus will advance to the semi-finals. No ties will be broken. The eight best males and females on each apparatus will qualify for the finals.
* Scoring
Scoring in the qualifying and semi-finals round will use Competition II rules and scoring for the finals round will use Competition III rules.
