Minneapolis Area Gym Needs Experienced Girls JO/Xcel coaches

Mini-Hops Gymnastics (MHG) is about to celebrate our 43rd anniversary! Our new 50k square foot state-of-the-art facility houses over 2,000 athletes of all abilities across 15 programs. Our JO and Xcel girls' teams have expanded as a result and we are seeking full or part time, experienced coaches to add to our amazing staff. These positions require an enthusiastic team player, strong technical knowledge and a willingness to work as a part of a team of coaches towards our common goals.

Desired qualifications:
* Must have leadership skills; including the ability to motivate and encourage both athletes and other coaches in a positive manner.
* Provide support to Program Director to create level specific training plans.
* Communicating effectively with parents regarding skill progress, practice, etc.
* Travel to competitions at the local, state and regional levels.
* Keep up to date on USAG certifications, and level rules/requirements.

Boys Team Coach

The primary function of a gymnastics coach is to lead an instructional program for gymnastics students. Under the direction of the Program Director, the coach is responsible for the delivery of high-quality progressive gymnastics coaching. The coach will be passionate about training and developing great athletes and will have strong technical skills in the appropriate levels and programs. In addition to fostering a positive coaching style that builds gymnast confidence, the coach will be a proven planner, actively creating and maintaining team lesson plans and charting development.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Gymnastics Coaching experience - minimum 1 year

Able to work in a cohesive "team" coaching environment
Willing to learn as well as teach new coaching and training techniques

Able to exercise safety and precaution at all times

USAG Safety Trained and certified, background checked, Livescan fingerprinted, CPR/1st Aid Certified (within 30 days of employment).
