Boys Compulsory Coach (Pre-team and Team)

The Multnomah Athletic Club in Portland, Oregon is looking to hire a Boys Team Compulsory Coach. We are looking for someone who has a drive to build a solid team base and get young gymnasts on the right track for future success. The right candidate will have a desire to take ownership of their team of athletes while working closely with the Head Coach and aligning with the overall Boys Team goals.

Position Description:
Assists the Head Coach with the supervision, instruction and spotting of compulsory boy gymnasts and occasionally helping with the optional team and recreational classes when needed. This is a 32.5 hours/week, salaried position with the opportunity for additional hours if desired.

Qualifications:
Must be able to teach current USAG compulsory routines and skills with emphasis on developmental technical progressions. Must have working knowledge and experience coaching USAG Future Stars Program. Must have a wide knowledge and experience in hands-on spotting techniques.
Knowledge and experience of competitive gymnastics; thorough knowledge of current compulsory routines; demonstrated skill in team development, motivation, leadership, organizational and planning skills; ability to communicate effectively with adults and children. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team. Minimum 3 years competitive gymnastics coaching and/or teaching experience.
Must be a current USAG professional member
Some travel to competitions on weekends will be required.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

This is a 32.5 hours/week, salaried position with the opportunity for additional hours if desired. The Multnomah Athletic Club offers a competitive salary and benefits. Head Over Heels Athletic Arts, located in Emeryville, CA, is seeking talented and experienced gymnastics coaches to teach pre-school and recreational level gymnastics. We are in need of strong, fun coaches to offer quality gymnastics instruction to bay-area youth ages 2-12.

Coaches work on a part-time basis, usually between 8-25 hours per week. The schedule is somewhat flexible, however most of our classes run weekday afternoons and evenings, and weekend mornings. Availability during this time is a requirement. Additional hours may be available for our other programs such as Parent's Night Out on Friday nights, birthday parties on the weekends, and seasonal camps.

Duties include:
* Teach quality gymnastics classes to students of a variety of ages and levels
* Maintain gym organization (setting-up and cleaning up equipment)

Requirements:
* Experience teaching gymnastics (willing to train ex- competitive gymnasts and/or those with experience working with children in other capacities)

We are also seeking an additional coaches to work with all levels of athletes. This individual should be enthusiastic and outgoing and excited to work with children. It is helpful to be familiar with skill progressions, spotting techniques, and routines but not necessary. This position will require approximately 6 - 20 hours per week, Mon-Fri evenings and/or Sat mornings.

Applicants should have an encouraging and enthusiastic demeanor and genuinely love working with children. Individuals should also be motivated to develop young athletes and be able to work cooperatively with others in order to build a strong and fun gymnastics atmosphere.

Seeking Director of Coaching

Red River Valley Gymnastics is seeking a Director of Coaching to manage our competitive and recreational programs. RRVG boasts a 26,000 square foot facility that is fully equipped with state of the art gymnastics and fitness equipment. RRVG services over 800 athletes participating in one of our many programs that include Women’s, Men’s, Pre-Team, Xcel, Acro and All Star Cheer as well as recreational and preschool programs.

The Director of Coaching is responsible for the programming, coordination and development of RRVG team and recreational programs. Successful candidate will possess a willingness to effectively collaborate with all program coordinators and coaches and act as a mentor assisting in the recruitment, development and growth of our competitive and recreational programs including lesson planning and training schedules. Additionally, the Director of Coaching will be responsible for the scheduling, training, recruitment and evaluation of coaching staff and enforcement of all safety guidelines as set by the USAG. This is a 40+ hour a week position that requires frequent evening and weekend work with a main focus of hands-on coaching athletes. Candidate must possess a willingness to coach at any level, in any program as needed. In addition, the successful candidate will work in conjunction with the Business Manager to contribute to the annual budget, prioritize equipment and facility upgrades and purchases, and effectively market all RRVG programs by participating in RRVG and community events.

Required Qualifications:

•Current USAG U100, safety, and first aid certifications
•Current USAG professional membership
