Sender is the son of Ira, an emergency physician, and Bonnie, a weight loss counselor. He has an older brother and sister, Marc and Erica, and a younger brother, Joshua. Sender graduated from Stanford University in 2008 with a degree in Biological Sciences. He plans for a career in veterinary medicine.
