She was a member of the 2007 World Championships Team that won the team gold medal and was named the U.S. Olympic Committee's Team of the Year for 2007. Hong is the daughter of Mike and Michelle. She was born in Worcester, Mass., and has three siblings: Isabelle, Isadora and Preston. She is currently living with her mom and two younger siblings in Allen, TX while her older sister is attending college in California as an Architecture major. She says her role models are her grandma, Carly Patterson, and Courtney McCool.
